Carnival Cruise Line Begins Construction on Vista 3

Following its successful Carnival Vista and upcoming Carnival Horizon, Carnival Cruise Line has started to build a third as-yet-unnamed sister-ship. The next 133,500-ton Vista-class ship celebrated its steel cutting recently at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy.

The Carnival Vista originally launched in May 2016, and the next Carnival Horizon—also under construction at the Marghera yard—will set sail on April 2, 2018 in Europe. The 3,934-guest Vista 3 will later debut in 2019.

The ships mark the biggest ever built for the Carnival Cruise Line brand.
