The Mikado October
24 and 25 at 8 p.m. The Mikado opened in London on March 14, 1885. The story revolves around a young fellow named Nanki-Poo who has banished himself from the little town of Titipu. Nanki-Poo has fallen in love with a beautiful young lady called Yum-Yum. Unfortunately, Yum-Yum is engaged to be married to her guardian, the tailor Ko-Ko. As the story evolves, the audience is treated to the wit and charm of Gilbert’s satirical English humor and Arthur Sullivan’s delightful, toe-tapping tunes. Individual

The Best of All Worlds March
19 and 20 at 8 p.m. The Best of Both Worlds, arranged by Kenneth Nielsen and Susan Lyle, is a revue of music from the realm of Viennese and American operetta. From the opening chorus, “Vienna, My City of Dreams” by Rudolf Sieczynski, to Victor Herbert’s “Ah! Sweet Mystery of Life,” the audience is taken on a trip through the land of the waltz to the youthful American exuberance of “Tramp! Tramp! Tramp!” from the musical Naughty Marietta! The revue is scored for six singers: three women and three men with a pianist. It will be staged, choreographed and elegantly costumed with tuxedos and ball gowns!! Other composers represented will include S. Romberg, Noel Coward, Rudolf Friml, Johann Strauss and Franz Lehar. Individual
